Last week there were only two sessions: Tuesday and Wednesday. Despite this we encountered some photogenic beauties, as well as more standard fare.

Ruddy Shelducks

On Tuesday the planned venue was out of bonds as a small private road on the way to the car park was closed because a domineering landowner was having a marquee delivered. We had to move a mile down the road to a less varied site. Our visit started well, with an immediate Kingfisher whizzing over the mud, and then a very near Curlew. unfortunately, most sightings were too far away for photography!

On Wednesday we crossed the Humber. Both sessions saw Bearded Tits, but the morning group had the added surprise of a pair of Ruddy Shelducks, possibly a first for the past 14 years. There were still plenty of Avocet, Black-tailed Godwits and a Spotted Redshank.
