Easterly winds were hitting the east coast, so we dropped the planned location for Kilnsea. Eventually, everyone saw a "lifer". Once everyone arrived we noted the 4 Little Grebes in the Borrow Pits, and then walked along the sea cliff. There were plenty of Skylarks flying above the rough grass, and a few Meadow Pipits, but little else.

In Canal Scrape there were good views of a Dunlin and several Meadow Pipits, and a Song Thrush, but no Jack Snipe!

A Small party of Pink-footed Geese flew over us as we were on the Canal Bank, and there were several waders to see on the mudflats.

A ringed Chiffchaff were marks near both eyes was feeding from an umbellifer.

The Yellow-browed Warbler made its distinctive call in the Crown & Anchor car park, but was seen by all, and this was a first for everyone, except the course leader.
