Muddy water in a dream is not good! As you surely know, drinking muddy water is not good for healthy living. Seeing muddy water in your dream means just that. Something unhealthy is in your life.
In recent years, I received two dreams with muddy water. This water was the color of clay. It was not the red of northern Georgia, and not the deep brown of California soil, either. It was the color of the clay found in pottery studios. It looked like coffee with too much cream, a light brown mix of water and clay.

Here is the interpretation (from prayer): man is made of clay. Water mixed with clay represents the gospel of man. It is God's Holy Water which nourishes the spirit, mixed with the doctrines of man.

Muddy Water Dream #1:
The first time I saw this color, it was a stagnant lake. My wife was on a sandbar in the middle. At first, I had my feet in the water. Then I realized something was swimming there, hidden. I got out. On land, a small crocodile attempted to bite my ankle. I jumped aside, and killed it.

I warned my wife, "There are crocodiles in the water!"

"No," she said, "I know what I am doing. There are no crocodiles here."

I yelled to her several times. Finally, I realized I needed to get back in and swim out to her, then bring her back. This decision came when one of the crocodiles bit her right hand. It clamped down with her entire hand inside it's jaws, up to her wrist. After one of her refusals to obey her husband and come out, the crocodile jumped up and took a deeper grip, landing with his bite almost to her elbow.

I jumped in and swam out to her sand bar. Once I reached her, the sand bar rose up so that we stood on dry sand above the water's surface. The crocodile was gone at this point. Finally, after some time, we walked out together (the water was only waist deep at this time.) Once we were both on the far side of a short concrete stem wall, I heard the word "chthonic." Then, I woke up.

Here is what happened: My wife and I joined a small church experiencing a revival. After some time, they brought in some false teachings. I did an in-depth study on the false teachers (the NAR, Bill Johnson, Todd Bentley, Rick Joyner, et al) and gave a CD to the man pastoring there, brother Eric. He rejected my claims about Bentley and the others. Six months later, Bentley had been exposed, and even confessed to some of the things I told Eric: Bentley preached drunk and was having affairs. Eric rejected this, too. He insisted these were "rumors" from "religious" people.

But, I did eventually get out (taking my feet out and killing the small crocodile.)

My wife refused to leave because she had friends in that church. So, eventually, I convinced her to go church shopping with me (still muddy water, but less deep). Finally, we moved too far from there for her to attend. (Getting completely out).

Standing on the sand means a life not built on the rock, one which will not withstand the storms of life.

The word "chthonic" means "of or relating to the underworld."

Muddy Water Dream #2:

I dreamed I was standing on the bank of a fast moving stream, which meandered as it went. Someone invited me, and I said, "Okay, I'll go!" I ran and jumped into the muddy water. In the dream, I even understood it was bad. I was very surprised to watch myself jump in.

Two days later, my wife asked me to attend a service at the church of her good friend, who would translate the service. I agreed, and we went.

The American wife of the local pastor preached. It was a dead sermon. It was somewhat interesting. But, the Holy Spirit was not there.


Update: This particular church (like many churches and organizations in Kiev) did not own a building. It rented a hall each Sunday morning. When the EuroMaidan occupation of City Center Kiev began, the Ukrainian Berkut (special forces loyal to the president, receiving special bonus pay.) set up their headquarters in the same hall. They are the ones who were cracking skulls in the streets. They stripped men nude in the December snow, photographed them, and punched them. Berkut even beheaded two protestors. Then, they went and slept in the hall used by the church represented by muddy water in a dream.

I don't know the meaning of the rushing water. Except, the stagnant water of the first dream took place in small Oakdale, California, and in a small church. The second dream of rushing water took place in 2.7 million people Kiev, Ukraine. The church was larger, too.

CLEAN, FRESH WATER

Fresh water represents the Holy Spirit.
Years ago, I saw a dream in which a man began to climb a mountain. At the bottom men drank from a pool of muddy water. As he climbed, there were more pools. At each, he tasted the water, then spit it out. At each, there were many people drinking the water, filling their buckets. They did not seem to notice the color or the flavor. As the man climbed higher and higher, he encountered fewer and fewer people at each pool of water.

Water flowed into each pool from a higher pool, then out again to the next lower pool. It was dirtier and dirtier as it transferred down the mountain. As the man climbed, the water in the pools transitioned more and more clear, and the taste became more and more fresh. When he had climbed a little more than half way, he crossed into a place where light hit the mountainside. At this point, I realized the lower portion of the mountain was cast in darkness. However, before he reached the sunlit upper part, this was not at all obvious.

At this point, a voice said, “It is hard to climb the mountain.”

Then, a flood came. It filled the valley and overwhelmed the people at the bottom of the mountain. The water rose and rose and rose up the mountain as it rushed in and swirled about. Finally, it stopped rising. About 60% of the mountain was under water, up to where the shadow ended.

Interpretation: the clear water is from the Rock, the mountain of Jesus Christ. As the water descended, it represented a true teaching transferring from one man to another man. But, as it transferred, men added their own thoughts. They added the work of their own minds.

Climbing the mountain represented leaving one church and going on to another. All the water was bitter. The man never reached the top. But, that is clearly where the clear, fresh water originated. There is a parallel to Moses climbing Mount Sinai to speak with God, while the majority feared God and stayed at the bottom.

The flood represented the Judgment that is coming to the land. Those who do not “dwell in the sacred place of the Most High” are not going to be saved. It is difficult to pass by churches and all the people, even the kind, friendly people who fellowship at each location. But, when Judgment comes, will you be protected under the wings of God?


Black Water Dream Meaning

Black Water in a Dream

Black water represents dark power. Water is powerful. Over time, it erodes river beds (think, Grand Canyon); carves valleys (frozen glaciers carved out Yosemite Valley), and washes away seashores (think, coast of Portugal). Darkness is the place where predators, crooks, and wicked men hide. The kingdom of the devil is called the Kingdom of Darkness.
A young man posted a dream in a forum. Black, oily water flooded his house. When I prayed, the Holy Spirit showed me he had begun to open himself up to magic, out of curiosity. The dream was a warning to him about what was happening in the spiritual.
Black water represents an unholy spirit.

So, the three types of water most common in dreams are clear, dark black, and muddy. Clear water comes directly from God. Brown water is tainted by men. Black water comes from the enemy of mens' souls. Variations and gradations likely represent a mixture of these three.
