Dreams are almost always addressed from the singular perspective. "What does my dream mean?" Or, "If a person sees a missing shoe in a dream, what does it mean?"

However, the supernatural produces dreams on other scales than the individual. A definition of supernatural follows later in this article.

Dreams do not always occur to just one individual. Often, dreams will arrive to several, dozens, or even hundreds of people in the same night. This is a near-simultaneous event. These may be exactly synchronized in some cases. However, the examples shown here were not precision co-incident events.

1. During the war between Serbia and Kosovo, the ethnic cleansing of Bosnia-Herzegovina renewed. This involved several mass killings. During these events, several people in Philadelphia would dream of the killings before they reached news outlets on the East coast of the states. I worked in three different coffee shops at that time. I talked about dreams and dream interpretation all the time. People would share dreams with me. New customers would come in- looking for a dream interpretation.
Many people were dreaming of being chased out of their homes, out into the fields, and killed. They felt everything the people being killed experienced: confusion, great wonder, disbelief. The experiences were the same. One of the girls who worked in one of my coffees shops (at 13th Street), Kathy, dreamed of the mass killings almost every time.

2. In 2007, I met a pastor in New York City. He shared with me the story of a Saudi Arabian refugee. That man woke one morning at 4:30, and walked out into the street. He simply felt he should walk out into the street, and did. Several other people also walked out into the street with him, and most of the entire village came out. All of them had seen the same dream. It told them, "Jesus is the Son of God." Soon, they were persecuted, and fled.
Since that time, I have a few more stories like this one of groups of people in Muslim nations dreaming about a visit from Jesus in a dream. He tells them, "I am the Son of God, the Way, the Truth, and the Light." (Muslims are commonly told Jesus was merely a prophet and that he escaped from the cross, allowing one of his disciples to take his place.)

3. It is very common to receive a dream, or a sudden revelation, and to then find on Facebook or elsewhere, several other Christians sharing they recently received the same message in prayer, a dream, a vision, or a revelation. God will many times send a message in waves.
I can't think of a time when two reports were exactly the same. People recall different events, experience them differently, and tell them differently, too. But, the message is the same in these events.

Supernatural Sources

Now, what are the supernatural sources which originate these dreams? 

The sources I'm referencing are: the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Satan, and the mind. In the dreaming of mass killings in Kosovo, I believe this was an event of the mind. The messages about Jesus to an entire village was surely the Kingdom of God.
I know Satan sends dreams. I received many myself. He is constantly trying to push dreamers off balance with these lying dreams. And, no doubt, he also sends waves of false dreams. Several years ago, I received a dream. I determined it to be false. However, I later saw two people report the information of that dream as a new revelation/ dream- and they believed it, so posted it as true. (Note: I do not repeat the devil's lies, so the exact dream is not shared here.)
