A short message in a dream at 5:19 a.m. (approx.), May 27, 2011:

"The race is neither to the fast nor the strong. But, God decides the outcome."

There was a short pause. Then, I heard,

"America has never learned this lesson."

Update: (January, 2013) For some reason, I felt the necessity to share this message again, on Facebook and on Youtube. While doing so, I realized the first part of this message is like a scripture. It was easy to find:

"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race [is] not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

"For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so [are] the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them. (Ecc 9:11-9:12)

And, I suggest you go and read the short remainder of Ecclesiastes 9. It fits our times.
